EL/Civics Session II follows the general three-unit format found in Session I. The core areas of computer literacy, healthcare and community remain. However, the latter two units have been revised in order to improve learners' practical skills in these subject areas. For example, healthcare-related activities focus more on understanding doctor bills and providing information, while community-based skills emphasize gathering and interpreting information from printed sources and the Internet. As with the Session I Curriculum Framework and Pacing Guide, each of the following units offers a list of unit materials and activities for intermediate level English learners.
