Session I
Lesson
Plan Index

The EL/Civics Lesson Plan Index allows Literacy Volunteers tutors to access the lesson plans and materials used in each session. A thumbnail sketch of each lesson is provided here. Additional information regarding specific behavioral objectives, the lesson's duration, lesson materials, classroom activities and assessment tools or techniques may be found by following the links below to the lessons themselves.

The current focus of the EL/Civics project is on intermediate level English learners. However, most of the materials and activities are easily adapted to meet the needs of learners at other levels of competency.

Tutors with questions about these lessons or how to apply them to single- or paired –learner environments may also contact the Literacy Volunteers ESOL coordinator at 265-9339, Mondays through Fridays.
