Literacy Volunteers Staff
Annette Loschert, Executive Director - annette@lvarv.org
Annette, who was named Executive Director in May 2003, has been involved with Literacy Volunteers of Roanoke Valley since 1998 when she became a tutor with the program. Annette's background is in academic and volunteer administration. She was elected to the Board of Directors in 1999 and was named Basic Literacy Tutor of the Year in 2000. Annette is excited to be part of a team that contributes selflessly to celebrate the transformation that occurs as our learners move through the Basic Literacy and English-as-a-Second-Language programs. She enjoys the challenge of creating new opportunities for the most important people in our organization - our learners.
Pam Adams, ESOL Program Coordinator - padams@lvarv.org
Pam was born and raised in the Roanoke Valley, but spent 35 years of her life living in the beautiful mountains of far Southwest VA. She returned to the Roanoke Valley in 2003. She has 9 years of experience of independent pharmacy ownership. Before coming to LVRV in 2007, she worked as an at-risk youth case manager and as a Magnet Program Coordinator for Roanoke City Public Schools. Pam earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management and Development from Bluefield College and is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Liberal Studies (Social Sciences) from Hollins University. Pam especially loves her job at LVRV because she is able to use her education and human services work experience to build and support creative and rewarding tutor – learner matches.
