Introduction to Computers and Understanding Commands

Objectives:

bullet

The learner will identify a noun, a verb, an article and a personal pronoun in simple sentences.

bullet

The learner will conjugate the simple past and present tenses of the verbs "point," "click," "go," "find," "have", "be."

bullet

The learner will correctly respond to the commands " left click," "right click," "double click," "close," "copy," "paste," "highlight," "minimize," "maximize," "open,"  "shut down," and "press."

Computer Tutorial I

Activities:

  1. Paired learners drill each other using computer component flashcards. 

  2. Paired learners will review grammar and verb conjugation from previous lesson by composing 6 sentences identifying simple past and/or present tenses of "point," "click," "go," "find," "have", "be," nouns, articles and personal pronouns.

  3. Learners complete Computer Tutorial 1.

Assessment:

 

Teacher conducts ongoing assessment through observing and noting individual learner progress during paired and individual activities, providing individual instruction as needed.
