High-Beginning and Low-Intermediate
Learners:

Teacher
reviews prepositions of location, movement, time and place alternating
between substitution drill and
response drill formats. Teacher conducts
three rounds. All learners have the opportunity to respond
individually at least once to each drill. Learners may use worksheets and
reference sheets for first round only.

Learners
review prepositions of time and place by completing Practice with
Prepositions #3 worksheet. Learners correct nos. 1-15 as a class. Learners
exchange papers for nos. 1-5, working as pairs comparing/correcting answers
and sharing with the class.

Learners
review prepositions of location and movement by completing Practice with
Prepositions #4 worksheet. Learners correct nos. 1-8 and dialogue as a
class. Learners exchange papers for nos. 1-5, working as pairs
comparing/correcting answers and sharing with the class.

Learner
pairs write their own dialogue about going to a job interview using the
Write Your Own Dialogue instruction sheet.

Learner
pairs read their dialogues for the class. Class discusses dialogues as
necessary.

Learners
take the online Preposition Quiz.
High-Intermediate Learners:

The learner will continue with Web project
applying grammar and Internet search skills (see directions on the Web

Activities:

self-assessment using
Irregular Verb Page and
Irregular Verb Jeopardy, as described in
Introduction
to Computers and Computer Vocabulary (30-60 minutes each evening).

Web
Project as described in project directions.
Assessment:
High-Beginning and Low-Intermediate
Learners:
Teacher monitors quality of verbal responses providing correction where
necessary, evaluates written dialogue and quiz results.
High-Intermediate Learners:
Teacher observes learner progress,
making note of problem areas and providing correction and additional
practice as required.
