p.m." Teacher reveals introductory statement on sentence strip,
tapes it to a wall or white board, and underlines the prepositions of time
and place. Teacher asks learners, "How do we know when to say "at,"
"on," and "in?" Teacher comments on learner responses.

distributes Common Prepositions #1 reference sheet. Class starts with
prepositions of time, completing a substitution drill followed by a
response
drill with "at" before progressing to "on" and
"in." All students should have the opportunity to respond
individually at least once to each drill.

share answers for nos. 1-10 as a class; exchange papers with another learner
to review nos. 1-6.
