Teacher
conducts response drill using impromptu questions and questions from the Present Perfect Drill worksheet.
Students respond in complete sentences in the present perfect continuous
tense, plus the correct use of "for" and "since." For
example, "How long have you been working at your present job?"
"I have been working at my present job for two years."

Learners complete More Practice with the
Present Perfect Continuous Tense worksheet as a review activity.

Learners
share responses to the worksheet verbally, discussing/instructing where
necessary. Teacher writes responses on the board.

Teacher
introduces lesson vocabulary and work-related phrases using flashcards, and
samples of employment section of classified ads, job application and
"Help Wanted" sign where appropriate. Teacher models full body
response as appropriate to define phrases. Learners practice pronunciation
and respond with total physical response where appropriate.

complete Looking for a Job worksheet.

Teacher
provides learner pairs with sentence strips from the Looking for a Job
activity, instructing each pair to arrange sentences in proper sequence.

Paired
learners compare and discuss responses.

Paired
learners drill each other on lesson vocabulary and phrases using flash
cards. Learners respond with total body response where appropriate.
Assessment:
Teacher monitors verbal and written responses of individual students and
learner pairs.
